60. SAMURAI PUFFER (Tetraodon erythrotaenia)
FAMILY: Tetraodontoidae
TYPE: Miscellanious (Pufferfish)
MAX SIZE: 3.5" (approx. 9cm)
ORIGIN: Indonesia, Southeast Asia
DIET: Carnivore
CHARACTER: Semi Aggressive
MISC: can be kept in freshwater when young, but should be adapted to brackish water as it grows, for its long term health


59. STANLEY POOL PUFFER (Tetraodon duboisi)
FAMILY: Tetraodontoidae
TYPE: Miscellanious (Pufferfish)
MAX SIZE: 3.5" (approx. 9cm)
ORIGIN: Africa
DIET: Carnivore
CHARACTER: Aggressive
MISC: best kept alone, good circulation and regular water changes (up to 50% a week) are required since they, like all puffers, are messy eaters, sensitive to ammonia and nitrites



58. THAI PUFFER (Tetraodon barbatus)
FAMILY: Tetraodontoidae
TYPE: Miscellanious (Pufferfish)
MAX SIZE: 5" (approx. 12cm)
ORIGIN: Thailand, Southeast Asia
DIET: Carnivore
CHARACTER: Semi Aggressive
MISC: even though considered one of the peaceful member of the genus, still mixing them with smaller fish is not recommended



57. HAIRY PUFFER (Tetraodon baileyi)
FAMILY: Tetraodontoidae
TYPE: Miscellanious (Pufferfish)
MAX SIZE: 5" (approx. 12cm)
ORIGIN: East Asia
DIET: Carnivore
CHARACTER: Aggressive
MISC: like most puffers, best kept in a single species to avoid further territorial issue


56. ABE'S PUFFER (Tetraodon abei)
FAMILY: Tetraodontoidae
TYPE: Miscellanious (Pufferfish)
MAX SIZE: 4" (approx. 10cm)
ORIGIN: Southeast Asia
DIET: Carnivore
CHARACTER: Aggressive
MISC: it has the ability to change the colours of its body and markings quite dramatically depending upon mood, activity level varies from one day to another from extremely active to very inactive. A tank with plenty of decor (plants, rocks, bogwood) is recommended for this species with either a sand or gravel substrate
