16. THREADFIN RAINBOWFISH (Iriatherina werneri)
FAMILY: Melanotaeniidae
TYPE: Rainbowfishes
MAX SIZE: 2" (approx. 5cm), but usually around 3cm
ORIGIN: Papua to Australia
DIET: Omnivore
CHARACTER: Peaceful
MISC: females have a pink, not red, tip to their caudal fin, need well-planted tanks with open middles so that they may swim but have the security of plants



17. DWARF GOURAMI (Colisa lalia)
FAMILY: Belontiidae
TYPE: Anabantoids
MAX SIZE: 2" (approx. 5cm)
ORIGIN: South East Asia
DIET: Omnivore
CHARACTER: Peaceful
MISC: eats algae, males are slightly larger than the females and have a bright orange-red body with turquoise blue vertical stripes that extend into the fins



18. HARLEQUIN RASBORA (Trigonostigma heteromorpha)
FAMILY: Cyprinidae
TYPE: Cyprinids
MAX SIZE: 2" (approx. 5cm)
ORIGIN: Thailand, Eastern Sumatra and the Malay Peninsula
DIET: Omnivore
CHARACTER: Peaceful
MISC: temperature range of the Harlequin Rasbora is usually cited as 22°C to 27°C, usually breeds at around 28°C



19. ANGELFISH (Pterophyllum scalare)
FAMILY: Cichlidae
TYPE: Cichlids
MAX SIZE: 6" (approx. 15cm)
ORIGIN: South America
DIET: Omnivore
CHARACTER: Peaceful
MISC: They can live in a ph range of 6.5 to 7.2 but in order to spawn them they need to be in acid water (a ph range of 6.5 to 6.8)




20. COMMON HATCHETFISH (Gasteropelecus sternicla)
FAMILY: Characidae
TYPE: Characins
MAX SIZE: 1.6" (approx. 4cm)
ORIGIN: South America
DIET: Omnivore
CHARACTER: Peaceful
MISC: very peaceful, even timid fish, and make a good community tank mate, females are bigger than the males, keep the top of the tank covered when keeping this fish as they might jump out of the tank
